Performance Enhancement Dietitian

Joanne Villaflor is the current Performance Enhancement Dietitian for the U.S. Navy Command Headquarters in Washington, D.C. She was the prior U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment Tactical Performance Dietitian for three years. Ms. Villaflor has taught at the University of Texas, University of the Incarnate Word, and is currently on faculty at Concordia University (Chicago). She is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, holds an International Olympic Committee diploma in Sports Nutrition from Switzerland, and obtained her level 2 certification as an anthropometrist with the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Health & Human Performance at Concordia University and co-chairs the Joint Department of Defense (DoD) Performance Nutrition working group under the DoD Food and Nutrition Committee.
