About Rachael Mack, MS, RD

Rachael Mack, MS, RD, is a registered dietitian who specializes in sport and performance nutrition. She received her bachelor’s degrees in clinical nutrition and exercise biology from the University of California at Davis. While at UC Davis Rachael was a member of the division 1 lacrosse team, where she learned first hand the consequences of under-fueling as an athlete. While not on the turf, Rachael volunteered as an undergraduate sports nutrition intern, assisting her fellow athletes with their performance related nutrition questions. Additionally, Rachael was a wellness intern at Apple Inc, where she learned innovative nutrition strategies from one of the largest and progressive technology companies in the world. Rachael has a master’s degree from Concordia University Chicago in applied exercise science, and completed her dietetic internship at Pepperdine University. 

Rachael has spent the last four years providing nutrition support to national team and Olympic level team sport athletes. As a member of the sports nutrition team at the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Rachael is involved in researching and developing cutting edge sports nutrition practices and protocols. She traveled to Lima, Peru for the Pan American Games in 2019, and provided on-deck nutrition support for the men’s and women’s water polo teams, both of whom won gold.

Rachael is passionate about making sports nutrition information accessible. She has worked with both USA Volleyball and USA Water Polo to create and share fueling resources that can be applied from the youth level to the Olympic level. Rachael believes that the habits formed as a youth athlete can positively impact future success. Rachael is the founder of Rachael Mack Nutrition where she assists athletes of all levels build and create long term fueling strategies.
