Meagan Nielsen, MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN

Meagan Nielsen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She currently is the Team Dietitian for USA Weightlifting and works with numerous strength athletes through her private practice. She also is a competitive powerlifter holding both state and National records. 

Previously, Meagan was a Sports Dietitian and Scientist for Gatorade Sports Science Institute where she used nutritional principles backed by science to support elite athletes in multiple team sports, was the dietitian for the Chicago White Sox throughout the 2017 season, and the dietitian for the Charlotte Hornets throughout the 2018 season. In 2016, she was the sports dietitian for the Chicago Cubs Triple-A affiliate (The Iowa Cubs) when the Cubs won the World Series. Meagan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Illinois State University. She then completed her dietetic internship with a sports nutrition emphasis and received her Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
