What others are saying about Jordan....

“I first met Jordan my second year of professional baseball in Eugene Oregon. The first week we had a sit down conversation about my health and fitness goals which included hydration, healthy eating habits that was all catered to the physical work I was doing day in and day out. My performance on the field accelerated in the right direction and my recovery was as fast as it ever had been all thanks to Jordan’s well balanced organized plan. She was always available for questions I had and always came to the field with an amazing attitude and great work ethic. Later that year we won the championship. Not only did Jordan help me with my career tremendously but she will forever be part of the team.”

“ I was extremely lucky to have Jordan as my first nutritionist in professional baseball. I had no idea where to start in creating a proper diet for myself, especially with the demands of being a professional athlete. We would sit and talk for hours about how to prepare myself for games. She broke down everything that would be the most beneficial for my body in regards to before, the day of, and recovery for games. She was also able to provide natural remedies for all of my needs. I have taken everything she has taught me to each level of professional baseball as well as my every day life. ”

“From Jordan’s first day on the job I knew she was the right fit for what the baseball program needed. She eagerly reached out to me and scheduled a meeting wanting to know how she could help the overall nutrition spectrum for the baseball team. Though she had other teams that were assigned to her, she was focused solely on how she could help give more attention to baseball. Her and I would work together to plan meals, dugout snacks and post game snacks for the student athletes. Her attention to detail for each student athlete was always exceptional and exceeded expectations. Jordan was always very organized and her communication skills were off the charts. She knew exactly when the team was supposed to eat, when we departed for away games and exactly what to pack for road trips that would help supplement the nutrition needs. I know firsthand that Jordan has helped many student athletes under her care achieve and reach for higher goals. ”

She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and pushed us to take better care of our bodies every single day. As a pitcher, Jordan’s guidance and expertise helped me recover faster and perform my absolute best day after day. I am extremely grateful for her!”

“I first worked with Jordan in 2018 as she was the RD for the Chicago Cubs short season A team which was the Eugene Emeralds. I had the opportunity to work very close with her as I was the Strength and Conditioning coach. Professional baseball presents a variety of obstacles that other sports simply do not. The majority of a team does not speak the same language and at this minor league level it is difficult to make the young guys accountable for their own well being with the 10 hour bus rides, lack of sleep and lack of access to smart food choices, on top of playing games every day for 5 months in a row.

Jordan was very efficient and educating young men in their first year of professional on how they should eat, sleep, periodize nutrient intake, etc. She was very easy to communicate with and was proactive at adapting to the consistently changing schedule for providing meals to the team (rain outs, double headers, playoffs) even though the RD does not travel with the team. She provided consults at an individual level with each member of the team and communicated concerns with the whole coaching staff as well as set goals for each player. She was very innovative in trying to get players to try new things, which is tough with a roster of guys from 5 different countries.

The Eugene Emeralds won the Northwest League Championship in 2018 and Jordan was a big part of that. I would recommend Jordan Sylvester for any dietetic position and regard her as one the the best RD’s i have had the pleasure of working with (there have been a lot). ”
